Vacation Home Listings

The first six months of the year are typically very slow compared to the second
half of the year – the first half of 2010 were no exception. We currently have 145 active listings for homes. This compares to 146 at the beginning of the year.

During the first six months there were 18 homes sold, but 20 new home listing were recorded in the month of June. This means lots of new inventory and the 14 price reductions represent additional opportunities for prospective home buyers. The price band of active home listings in the $300,000 to $500,000 saw the most growth with a 36% increase during this period while homes under $300,000 saw a decline in the number of active listings.

Properties highlighted on my web site are based largely on feedback I have observed from clients helping them buy and sell properties in this market over the last eight years. Although individual clients differ in many ways, there has been a surprising consistency in their definitions of value and desirability.

Using these properties as a starting point, you define your priorities. Based on your input I search the MLS, proprietary web sites and actually go to the properties to find the ones that meet or exceed your definition of value and desirability.
